The ZQS-35/1.6S Handheld Pneumatic Rotary Coal Drill is a one-person drilling tool for rib bolt holes, shallow boreholes, and small-diameter openings in roadways. It needs no air leg: the operator holds the body against the rib and drills directly, which suits horizontal rib holes where a leg-supported bolter is awkward to set. It runs on compressed air, so it carries no spark source into gassy headings, and the whole unit weighs 13 kg.

Rated power is 1.6 kW at 0.5 MPa working air pressure, with a rated speed of 440 r/min and a no-load speed of 1200 r/min. Rated torque is 35 Nm and stall torque 50 Nm, so the bit keeps cutting rather than stalling on harder rock. Air consumption is 3.5 m3/min, which a standard mine air main can feed, and flushing water at 0.6-1.2 MPa connects to the dust-suppression line. The 19 mm hex drill shank fits standard steel, and sound pressure is held at or below 95 dB(A).

Beyond rib bolt holes, the same drill makes cable-hook holes and pipe-hanger holes, so a single rig covers several small drilling jobs at the development face, the roadway repair face, and electrical chambers. It is a common issue for development and repair crews who do not want to set up a leg-supported machine for a quick horizontal hole.

MOQ is one unit. Export packing follows the company wooden-case standard with stainless buckles and bubble wrap, quality reports ship with the order, and a 12-month warranty applies under normal use. The structure is simple to operate and maintain, and support crews at many coal mines keep one on the working face. If the roadway has no compressed-air main, a mobile compressor of around 3 m3/min supplies the drill, and flushing water connects to the standard dust-suppression line at 0.6-1.2 MPa.
