Drilling and Setting Bolts in One Pass

The MQT-130/3.2 Pneumatic Roof Bolter drills roof bolt holes and cable holes in roadways with rock hardness f <= 10, then stirs and sets resin cartridges and torques the nut to initial pre-tension without a second machine. It runs on compressed air, so it carries no electrical spark into gassy headings. One operator handles the whole set-up, which is why it is a standard support tool in coal roadway bolting.

A gear-type air motor delivers 130 Nm rated torque at 240 r/min, with a stall torque of 275 Nm, enough to drill f=10 rock; the company has built this model for more than a decade, so the drive train is mature. The support leg is fiberglass rather than metal: spark-free, lighter than metal, and wear-resistant, with a maximum feed thrust of 8.2 kN pushing the bit into the roof.

Three mast heights cover different roadway heights: A (1126-2457 mm), B (1276-3057 mm), and C (1426-3657 mm). Whole-unit weight is 49/51/53 kg for A/B/C. A double exhaust circuit speeds the retract between holes, shortening the cycle of drilling, withdrawing, repositioning, and starting the next hole. Rated air consumption is 4.9 m3/min at 0.5 MPa, which a typical mine air system can supply, and flushing water runs at 0.6-1.2 MPa from the standard dust-suppression line. The 19 or 22 mm hex drill shank matches standard drill steel, and the rated air demand fits typical mine compressed-air systems without a dedicated larger compressor.
