Cutting Long or Bent Cable Underground

The Mining Anchor Cable Cutter trims over-length anchor cables during roadway development and removes old cables during roadway repair. It also cuts rock bolts up to 32 mm. The cutter is a cold shear: the piston pushes a blade against the cable and slices it without producing sparks, which matters in gassy headings. It pairs with the QYB-1.5/63 pneumatic pump or the SYB-2S hand pump.

Ordinary cable cutters are front-opening, so a straight cable has to feed in; once the end is flowered or bent, it will not enter. The ZYYJ-280K and ZYYJ-500K use a side-opening frame, so the cable or bolt enters from the side even when it is bent or splayed. The blades are developed in-house as part of the company high-strength shear technology, and they handle 21.8 mm high-strength cable without premature wear.

The KT variants add a collection tube: the cut cable end drops into the tube instead of flying out, which the company has patented. That matters in narrow headings where other crews are working nearby. Weights run 12 kg for the 280 class and 26 kg for the 500 class, so one person can carry the cutter to the hole.

Rated shearing force is 280 kN or 500 kN at 63 MPa. MOQ is one unit; wooden-case export packing and a 12-month warranty. Where crews used to rely on hacksaws, which are slow, or gas cutting, which is banned underground, the cold shear cuts a high-strength cable safely in minutes. The same body cuts both anchor cable and rock bolt, so one tool covers two cutting jobs and reduces tool investment on the development crew. Rated shearing force is 280 kN for the 280 class and 500 kN for the 500 class at 63 MPa, with the KT variants adding the collection tube that catches the cut end.
